Buzzing news regarding the pound for pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao is his next possible fight with Marquez this October 2011. Top Rank officially sent a proposal to the Golden Boy, the one who holds the promotional rights of the Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez, current WBO/WBA Lightweight Champion.

The Pacquiao vs Marquez III bout would be for Pacquiao's WBO Welterweight title, which means Marquez is going to jump from Lightweight to Welterweight. Marquez did this on his last fight with Mayweather but suffered on it.

Pacquiao and Marquez fought two great times: first on a controversial draw in their 2004 featherweight championship fight and a split decision 2008 junior lightweight title fight in favor of Pacquiao. From now then on, Marquez has been challenging Pacquiao for a third fight.
