Floyd Mayweather Jr. to return to the ring on May 5, 2012 against Pacquiao
It's buzzing news today across sports pages that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return to the ring on May 5, 2012 against Manny Pacquiao. "Money" Mayweather really knows how to steal the show against Pacman. There are 9 days to go before pound for pound king Pacquiao faces his Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas and suddenly team Mayweather based on various interviews and reports that they are working on a possible big fight deal with Pacman.
Boxing fans, do you believe it will work this time? We all know that two proposed mega-fight has been off because both camps does not agree on the drug testing model to be use leading to the big bout. Another issue that derailed the negotiations is with the purse.
On the news, Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz speaks out that Mayweather Jr. was just doing some gimmick and just intended redirect attention specially that Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 is coming. He added that Mayweather camp "has not spoken to anybody that has authority to negotiate. They have not spoken to Bob Arum and they have not spoken to me."
